Xolo Launches World's Lightest Smartphone Win Q900 for Rs. 9,999

After Micromax, Xolo has now announced the launch of its first Windows Phone-based smartphone in India. Named the Xolo Win Q900s, the phone is claimed to be the world's lightest smartphone that weighs merely 100 grams.

The phone is exclusively available on the e-commerce site Snapdeal.com at Rs 9,999. Users can pre-book the device starting Saturday, but it will be released in the second of July.

Flipkart Launches It's First Tablet Digiflip Pro XT 712


Foraying into the tablet PC market, Flipkart has launched its first tablet under its brand, Digiflip Pro, in India. Priced at Rs 9,999, the Digiflip Pro XT712 tablet has a 7-inch (1280X800) IPS display, 5 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. Available in black and white colours, the Digiflip Pro tablet is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor along with 1GB of RAM.

Nokia X2 Dual SIM Becomes Viral

For many tech pundits who believed that the Nokia X smartphone range was dead after Microsoft's completed acquisition of Nokia's devices and services business, the Redmond giant has a surprise - the launch of the Nokia X2, the successor to the popular Nokia X.

The Nokia X2 will be available at EUR 99 (roughly Rs. 8,100) without taxes and subsidies. The company on its official Conversations blog has revealed that the Nokia X2 will be available immediately in select countries globally; however it has not listed the markets.

The new Nokia X series phone will be available in Glossy Black, Green, Orange, Dark Grey, White and Yellow. The Nokia X2 now sports a translucent outer layer, reminiscent to the ones seen on Nokia's Asha range of handsets.

Samsung Launches New Galaxy Tab S - 10.5 and 8.4 inches

Samsung has unveiled its new flagship tablet - the Samsung Galaxy Tab S - that is also the Korean company's thinnest and lightest tablet to date. The Galaxy Tab S comes in two sizes: 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch.
Both the variants feature a WQXGA (2560x1600, 16:10) Super AMOLED display (with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio) and are 6.6mm thin. The 10.5-inch model weighs and the 8.4-inch 465g.
Samsung has also partnered with 30 mobile content and service providers for customised offerings for the Tab S, including Marvel and Amazon.


Canvas Win W121: First Indian Windows Phone from Micromax

Micromax Canvas Win W121 is one of the two Windows Phone devices launched in India by the company, the first domestic smartphone manufacturer to do so. The Canvas Win W121 is priced at INR 9,500 ($160) and will be available in the market starting early July 2014.

The budget smartphone aims to compete with the Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 525, as well as the latestLumia 630, the only other Windows Phone 8.1 device in the market. I spent some time with the device at the launch event, and here are my first impressions of the phone.

Nokia Will Launch X2 on June 24

Nokia on Friday posted a teaser on Twitter for an event scheduled on June 24. The event is widely expected to be for the launch of the much-rumoured Nokia X2 Android smartphone.
The company tweeted from its official Twitter handle, saying "Stay tuned next week Tuesday 24th...", with a teaser image (see above) and a link to the Nokia Conversations blog.

Idea Launches ID 4000 3G Smartphone for Rs. 4,999

Extending its portfolio of 3G smartphones to 16, Idea Cellular on Thursday launched the ID 4000 for Rs. 4,999 and has bundled it with data benefits.

The country's third largest operator says it has already sold over 7 lakh devices from its earlier range of 3G smartphones.

"Idea is the only mobile operator in the country to offer a vast array of affordable 3G devices which is targeted at upgrading 2G users to 3G. With the launch the new device, Idea's portfolio of 3G smartphones has gone up to 16, and the company has already sold over 7 lakh devices from its earlier range," Idea Cellular said in a statement.

Acer Launched New Smartphone Liquid Z5

Acer launched a new entry level Android smartphone in Indian market. The Liquid Z5 is an Android 4.2 V smartphone with a sleek design and it has only 8.8mm thickness. The Acer Liquid Z5 features a 5 inch wide display which outputs pictures with 16:9 aspect ratio and it outputs a picture resolution of 854X480 pixels. The device is powered by a dual core 1.3 GHz MediaTek processor which is paired with a 512 MB RAM. It comes with 4GB onboard storage and supports micro SD cards for expansion. The handset sports a 5MP primary camera with BSI sensor, autofocus and LED flash. It is equipped with 5 lens array and IR sensor and capable to capture better pictures even at dim light with its low light sensitivity. But the front facing camera fitted on Liquid Z5 is a VGA one.

Lenovo Launched a Dual SIM Smartphone S930 for Rs. 19,990

Lenovo has expanded its smartphone portfolio in India by adding a new stylish model to the lineup. The new S930 is dual SIM model and features a bigger 6 inch IPS LCD display which gives a picture resolution of 720X1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core A7 Cortex processor alongside PowerVR SGX544 GPU which Lenovo claims to deliver excellent performance on the touch screen. The device further contains 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage capacity. The S930 supports microSD cards up to 32GB and it houses a 8MP primary camera with LED flash and also comes with a 1.6 MP front facing camera.

Intex Launched Country's First Octa Core Smartphone, Aqua Octa for Rs. 19,999

Intex has launched the first real octa core powered smartphone in India. The Aqua Octa is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) handset and is an ultra slim phone. Intex entered into the technical collaboration with MediaTek in launching the country’s first Octa Core smartphone. Company announced that the Aqua Octa will be available in the Indian market by the middle of January 2014 for a price of Rs. 19,999.

The Intex Aqua Octa features a 6 inch wide OGS HD display and gives a picture density of 720p. The device is powered by an octa core processor with a clock speed of 1.7GHz and as the name depicts it has 8 cores and all these cores are running at the same time to give a better performance and an increased processing speed. The device operates on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and has a RAM of 2GB. It has a 16GB onboard storage and also supports external memory devices for further expansion.

iBall Launches 3G Q1035 Dual SIM Tablet for Rs. 17,999

iBall has extended its tablet portfolio in India by launching a brand new tablet. The 3G Q1035 is a sliding, dual SIM tablet. The Q1035 features a 10.1 inch wide IPS HD display which gives a picture resolution of 1280X800 pixels and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Cortex A7 processor. The 3G Q1035 comes with a RAM of 1GB and has an internal memory capacity of 8GB which can be extended up to 32GB with an external memory card. The device operates on Android 4.2 software. 

The iBall 3G Q1035 sports a 8MP primary camera on the rear side with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera to facilitate 3G services. The device supports connectivity features like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and Micro USB. The tablet is packed with a high capacity 6000mAh battery.

LG Announced New Phablet Gx

World’ leading electronic appliances maker LG has announced a new Android Phablet Gx, which would be the new flag carrier of LG around the global markets. LG launches this new device to go in competition with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and LG includes the hardware features and dimensions similar to Note 3.

The new LG Gx features a 5.5 inch IPS display with an advanced picture resolution of 1080X1920 pixels. LG mounted the device with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The device comes with 2GB RAM and also possesses 32GB internal storage but it could not be expanded using external memory cards.

App Update Notifier Let You Know About Latest Updates on Apps

In these days Android market is filled with tons of applications and day by day this number is increasing. Most of these apps can be downloaded at free of cost and a major part of these apps are games and other interesting tools. Microsoft Launches Guardian Safety App in India


Microsoft has launched a new safety application to the Windows phone users in India called ‘Guardian’. Guardian app brings up the features similar to the ‘Track my iPhone’ and Android ‘Device Manager’ to Windows phone users and in addition this application helps your loved ones to track you in case of any emergency. For tracking purpose the Guardian uses Windows Azure cloud platform and the Bing Maps API. There is also provided with an in built SOS button to make a call for help in emergency. Microsoft says this SOS call can be connected to police agencies or hospitals.

Karbonn Imitates iPhone 5 with K Phone 1

Karbonn mobiles have launched a new entry level feature phone named K Phone 1 for Rs. 1,699. The main attraction of the device is it imitates Apple’s iPhone 5’s back panel design. Don’t think it imitates iPhone 5’s features too. This is essentially a cheap replica of the iPhone 5’s rear panel and is made up of plastic. Karbonn also used an iPhone like silver and white colour combination in the K Phone 1 to make it look likes an iPhone. This device comes with a non touch 2.4 inch LCD display and an alphanumeric keypad at the front.

Gionee Launched Elife E7 Smartphone in India

Gionee will launch the flagship smartphone Elife E7 in India today on 24th December. It is expected that the phone will be available by next month for purchase across the country. In India Elife E7 will compete with Smasung’s Galaxy Grand 2. The Elife E7 features a large 5.5 inch full HD display with a pixel density of 401 ppi. It gives a picture resolution of 1920X1080 pixels. The device comes with two processor options, the 4G version has a processor type of 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor while the 3G version is powered by a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 900 processor. RAM capacity is also varies with the onboard storage, the 16GB variant has 2GB RAM while the 32GB handset comes with 3GB RAM. All models has Adreno 330 GPU.

BlackBerry Launches BBM on LG Smartphones

BlackBerry Mobiles has planning to introduce their popular message service platform BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) on LG smartphones. Soon LG smartphone users can enjoy the BBM services which comes as preinstalled with LG handsets. Most probably the LG Pro Lite will be the first LG device which comes with BBM service of its own kind. Recently BlackBerry has extended the BBM service to Android and iPhone users. The BBM service is much popular in the regions like Middle East, Africa and Indonesia and people are using it to engage in the social media networks.

Andrew Bocking who is the executive vice president of BBM told “We're extremely pleased that LG Electronics will help bring their customers a more seamless experience with BBM by pre-loading the app, starting with the G Pro Lite in key markets." BlackBerry Mobiles has also entered into contracts with Indian companies like Micromax, Spice, Zen and Celkon to offer BBM service to the users.

Nokia Launched Asha 502 in India for Rs. 5,739

Nokia has launched a new medium ranged feature phone in the Asha series in India. The Asha 502 is available at a price of Rs. 5,739 from the Nokia online store. The Asha 502 is based on Nokia Asha platform 1.1 and supports firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update. The new handset comes in a candy bar style design with a comfortable polycarbonate body.

The new Nokia Asha 502 features a 3 inch LCD display (QVGA) which gives a picture resolution of 240X320 pixels. The Asha 502 is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) handset with dual standby feature. SIM card support for Asha 502 is micro SIM only and it does not supports regular SIM cards. This new handset comes with a RAM of 64MB and it supports external memory cards up to 32 GB.
